Family Care Committee

Happy woman talking on phone in a busy office.

Who We Are

HCI's Family Care Committee is a trauma-informed case management network of volunteers that partners with churches and agencies serving immigrant and refugee friends and neighbors.

What We Build

HCI strengthens the human infrastructure of wraparound care so that every family is supported by a connected team. Our work includes:

  • Volunteer recruitment and training, led by refugee-care experts
  • Coordination and ongoing casework that connects families to transportation, education, healthcare, employment, childcare, housing, and social services
  • Tracking tools and resource libraries that keep support organized and accessible
  • Referral networks and community liaisons that link families to trusted local partners

Why It Matters

Immigrant and refugee families need more than case management or a temporary place to stay. They need people who walk alongside them over time. Through lasting accompaniment, families find a trusted community already rooted around them, along with the resources to build stable, hopeful lives.
